Hey all,

Thought it was time that I updated my journal.

Life's been a little stressful as of late, hence the lack of posting, but things are starting to settle down. I had a bout of ill rats--I found a huge gash on Ron Weasley's stomach that needed antibiotics, but still ended up with a small abcess, and Asher has been fighting a nasty (not to mention expensive) respiratory infection. Ash is doing much better, but still has a touch of the weezies. Ron is back to being 100%.

Nya passed her Canine Good Citizen exam last Thursday. I'm so proud of her. 8 months ago I wouldn't have been able to keep her from pulling towards people and new dogs. Now, she can walk by them without even much of a sniff. We'll be trying out some agility next week to see if she likes it.

And in HUGE news, I got LASIK last Wednesday and things are great. I can't believe how wonderful it is to open my eyes in the morning and be able to see the clock... or the tv. It's a little hard to stare at my computer, but in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to start weaning myself off the eyedrops a little. Once an hour is a little much (at least it would be if my eyes weren't sort of dry).

Anyway, so that's life. I'm about halfway through doing an edit of my book, so I'll probably post the first few chapters soon. I'm just waiting on some input from a friend first.
